Last weekend, members of BFT Local 434's elected leadership team participated in leadership training provided by the Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT).

Led by experienced IFT Field Service Directors, the sessions focused on strengthening leadership skills, expanding knowledge of union advocacy and bargaining, and preparing local leaders to better support and represent our members.

We are grateful for opportunities like this that help our leadership team continue to grow and bring new skills and ideas back to Local 434. Strong unions are built by informed, engaged leaders who are committed to serving their members.
