The 40th Annual Lancer Family Food Drive was a tremendous success, thanks to the generosity and compassion of District 201 students, staff, and community partners.

Throughout the drive, students and staff collected an abundance of food, personal hygiene items, and monetary donations to support Lancer families and local community food pantries. These efforts will help provide Thanksgiving meals for 24 Lancer families, stock the Lancer Food Pantry, and support additional families throughout the community.

BFT Local 434 members were proud to support this important effort by helping stock food pantries on both campuses. Through the generosity of our members, $1,450 was donated to purchase gift cards for District 201 families in need, along with additional donations of food and personal care items.

We also want to recognize the Daily Grind for collecting and donating more than $800 in proceeds from sales during the food drive and thank all students, staff, families, and community members who contributed.

This event is a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together. Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference for our students and families.
