Several BFT Local 434 members proudly served as delegates at the 2025 Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT) Convention in Rosemont, representing the voices and priorities of our local union.

Alongside educators and union members from across the state, our delegates came together to discuss the challenges facing public education, share ideas, and help shape the future work of the IFT.

Representation at events like the IFT Convention is an important part of union democracy. Our delegates bring the experiences and perspectives of District 201 educators and school employees to the statewide conversation while standing in solidarity with members across Illinois.
