District 201 is still owed $23 million through Illinois' Evidence-Based Funding formula—resources our students and educators need to succeed.

BFT Local 434 stands with District 201 in calling on Illinois lawmakers to fully fund public schools through the state's Evidence-Based Funding (EBF) formula.

Although the EBF model was designed to ensure every student has access to the resources they need to succeed, District 201 is still owed $23 million in funding. Those dollars represent real opportunities for our students and staff—from reducing class sizes and updating instructional materials to expanding student support services and creating safer, stronger learning environments.

Fully funding public education is an investment in our students, our educators, and the future of our community. Every child deserves access to the resources necessary for a high-quality education, and every educator deserves the support needed to help students thrive.
